FAQ
Posted on 10/25/2008 12:24 am by EmilyAll you need to know to get down (to Florida).
Q: What do I wear?
A: Flip-flops. Seriously, the bride won’t be wearing shoes so anything goes. As for a dress code, the ceremony will be outdoors, so dress comfortably. No need to be fancy. Dress for lots of sun and sand. You can even wear white!
Q: Why Florida?
A: It’s better than the Jersey Shore. Though we did leave our hearts in Seaside Heights. Okay, seriously. We wanted to get married in a relaxing place with warm weather and a casual vibe. Basically, our wedding = minimal stress and maximum fun.
Q: What kind of activities are you planning while we are there?
A: We are planning some fun, informal activities for the Sunday after the wedding. Stuff like bbq’s, sand castle competitions, bike rides, sea shell hunting, swimming and maybe even bocce ball or badminton. We hope you stick around!
Besides our planned activities, Pensacola Beach has lots of great things to do and hokey beach-themed restaurants to visit (like Crabs - We Got ‘em). This site is a great resource for all things Pensacola Beach: http://www.visitpensacolabeach.com/
Q: What kind of food will there be at your reception?
A: Due to Nick and Emily’s conscious consumption of *almost* all things, our reception dining will be mostly, if not entirely, vegetarian. Don’t freak out; it will be tasty and there are many carnivorous establishments nearby to satiate even the most voracious meat eater.
Q: What is the weather like in Pensacola Beach in early May?
A: Daytime temperatures are in the low 80’s and evening temperature are in the high 60’s. It’s a low month for rainfall, but always best to prepare for the worst. To see for yourself go here: weather.com
Q: Should I bring a camera?
A: Definitely! We will have some professional photography, but we consider it mandatory for family and friends will bring their own cameras to capture all the really intimate moments and spills on the dance floor.

I love it!!! Pair those with a swimsuit and sunblock and that’s all you’ll need. I, myself do not plan on wearing any shoes on the sand during the ceremony :) Pack lightly and have lots of fun!
