“Welcome” is on the same sign that says “Come Back Again”

And you thought we would stay put - live the California dream - eat oranges all day and soak up the sun. Well, you were wrong.

Yep, we’re moving. AGAIN.

But this time it’s for personal AND professional development. Nick has been accepted to Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and will be developing his business skills. Emily will be joining him to perfect her “surviving in the cold” and “looking for a new job” skills.

The good: Ann Arbor is a pretty cool town. Highlights include: a co-op, a Trader Joe’s, an 826, an Ecology Center and a 30 minute ride to 8 Mile (yeah, the one eminem grew up on). Also, Ann Arbor is much closer to Emily’s lovely sister, bro-in-law, nieces, nephew and mommy when she’s in WI. It also puts us closer to Jersey in case we get invited to spend a long weekend enjoying the Bon Jovi estate.

The bad: No fresh local produce all year round. No riding your bike to work all year round. No abundant farmer’s markets every week. And definitely no West Coast sunsets.

The ugly: Call us what you will, we have become accustomed to a 65 degree winter. THIS WILL BE ROUGH.

All in all, we are looking forward to a new place to call home. But first, we are looking forward to spending our special day with all of you. Hope to see you soon!
